Assistant Director of LifexCode: Digital Humanities Against Enclosure and Visiting Assistant Professor in the Center for the Digital Humanities

Dr. Webb brings her expertise in community engagement, digital humanities, Black data, and Black feminist thought to the work of creating and co-visioning LifexCode’s ecosystem of labs and projects.  Dr. Webb is the co-convener of Who Owns Black Data (Baltimore) and the director of the We Live Language Lab, as well as working closely with Ms. Sharayna Christmas of Muse360 Arts on the Black Women’s Cultural Workers Archive. Jacqui Brown is a cultural organizer and apprentice scholar based in Atlanta, GA. Jacqui is a founding member of Queerly Stated JA, a living virtual Queeribbean archive and forum, as well as the Special Projects Lead for The Luminal Theater, a nomadic Black arthouse microcinema.

Jacqui (no pronouns) is preparing for comprehensive exams in Comparative Literature with a focus on Cultural Organizing in the Below South.
